Team Germany brings back Blomgren. Is Stavness/Kidd next?

Earlier this month Team Germany welcomed back original team member Justin Blomgren, adding to an already star-studded line up. His rocky departure to the Smif Ryda's last season left many teammates and fans heartbroken and many surrounding the Team Germany family thought that they had seen the last of Blomgren in Team Germany threads(see Johnny Damon leaves Red Sox to become Yankee to truly understand...) but after a whole summer of intense negotiations Blomgren was brought back and hearts were mended.

Also there's been swirling rumours at the Team Germany camp recently that Bryce Stavness could sign within the next month as well as a rumour that involves a sign and trade deal that would send Jason Kidd of the New Jersey Nets to Germany for restricted free agent Matt Cobb and a box of # 2's.

Uncertainty

This year has been full of uncertainty. In the past 3-5 months I have experienced uncertainty in almost all areas of my life. Whether it be my faith, whether it be my future, whether it be trying to figure out the person I've become and grown into these past 4 years at college, there seems to be one constant feeling of uncertainty. The hardest part has probably been the struggle of waiting for uncertainty to turn into certainty, the struggle of waiting upon the Lord to bring clarity to all the aspects of my life that seem so hazy and unclear. I'm pretty sure this isn't all chance, its probably happening for a reason. It's probably going to make me stronger, wiser, more prepared to take on whatever is out there waiting for me in the future. Anyways, this is all kind of weird to blog about because normally my blog entrys are of no real importance or seriousness usually consisting of some run on about how I love the Royals or random pictures, but through numerous conversations I know that alot of my friends and peers are going through alot of the same kind of stuff I listed above and I guess the whole reason for this entry is to state the fact ,to those who join me in this struggle for certainty, that God has a plan, a purpose for all our lives. He has ultimate provision over our lives and he knows what has been, what is, and what will be. Soooo He know's all so if we continue to trust in Him and persue Him with all we have and if we continue to ask like Matthew 7:6-8 says:

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened"

Then He will provide us with the things that will help sustain us through these rough and uncertain times. I know this proccess is extremely exhausting and frustrating, but we must continue to seek, and strive, hunger for God even in times like these ,and those of us who do so I think will walk away from this experience stronger, wiser, closer to God then ever before.

I hope all this rambling made sense and was of somewhat of a help...

Is "Everything in the Right Place?"

Those of you who have followed Radiohead over the years know that they have been writing the song "True Love Waits" for years, but they have never finished it. After watching this trailer promoting their new album and film documenting Radiohead's lusterous career it seems as if "True Love Waits" is finally been finished! If you're a Radiohead fan this should get you stoked, if not you probably think this is a waste of blogspace and you probably have a distorted taste of music in my opinion.

2D Breaking News!

As many of you know Carly Floyd and Sarah Van Huele have been deemed 2D Hall Moms for the 2007-2008 school year. Many of you also know that they will be in Thailand during the enitre fall semester. Though they will be in Thailand they will still be in contact with the boys through email and or letters. Due to their absense, I would like at this time to offically announce that Courtney Weatherly has been brought on to take on the motherly duties that new freshman so desperatly depend on during their 1st year transition into college life.

Royals Baby!

So as alot of you may already know I am a die hard Kansas City Royals fan. Knowing this, it may seem fitting that on my birthday June 26th,Tuesday, I went to see my beloved Royals play Angels at Angel stadium. Going into the game the Royals at one a suprising game 1 of a three game series against one of the hottest teams in baseball. I was excited...could the Royals actually pull out a win on my birthday? You see, I have only seen the Royals win 1 out of the past 6 games I had been to. Well most of you Angels fans know the rest of this story...the Royals won on my birthday 12-4 and finished a shocking sweep of the Angels today with a 1-0 win. The reason behind my blog entry is not only to rub KC's sweep of the Angels in the faces of all the Angels fans out there, but also to pose a daring question. Can this be the year of the Royals long awaited turn around? After years of last place finishes, terrible player personal moves by ex-general manager David Glass, and starting lineups that look more suitable for a AA farm team...could this be the year in which all the promising prospects finally live up to their potential? My personal opinion? Absolutely. I would be as bold to say that my beloved Royals ride this momentum wave long enough to secure a spot in this years playoffs. Think about it...its possible. The Royals are currently 13 1/2 games out of first place. The 1995 Mariners were 13 1/2 games out of first at the begining of August before their eventual division championship 2 months later. The Royals are one month ahead of that pace! All I'm sayin' is this..you better jump on the bandwagon now because the Royals are taking off into a whole different stratosphere...

AC broken? Try a slip n' slide

So how does someone go about cooling off on a hot summer's day when the AC in their apartment is broken. They build a slip n' slide. This is percisely what my friend Ethan and I aspired to accomplish this past Saturday. A bottle of kitchen soap, a garden hose, and 3 sheets of plastic (borrowed from a youth group that was having a youth conference on our campus) later we had built our very own slip n' slide..and boy was it worth it. I hope these images and video footage of our joyous jaunt back to the days of childhood summer fun would inspire and invigorate you to continue to create new ways to have fun.

If this picture doesn't inspire you....what would inspire you?

This picture should be on CBU's hompage

This our new friend Robert.
